My Story with the Quran Part 2 |

In common with other Muslims, I was keen to read the Quran from cover to cover during the month of Ramadan, a tradition that stayed with me all my life as a Muslim. I used to plan it so that I finish the last chapter on the 27th of the month. I used to experience some strange and disturbing feeling about the quality of what I was reading. That feeling used to get worse as I went through the chapters and at its peak by the time I get to the last few chapters. Those ‘satanic’ feelings were especially troubling because I used to read those last few chapters on the 27th day of Ramadan, which is known among Muslims as ‘Laylat al quadr’ when the spiritual feelings supposed to be at its zenith. However, I was a well-trained Muslim and knew what to do in such circumstances; I used to pronounce the famous sentence “auzu billahi mina shaitani al rajeem” to seek refuge with Allah from the Satan, whom I blamed to be behind my ‘satanic thoughts’!

It is impossible not to notice the growing menace of Islam around the globe as Muslims agitate western governments with their ever increasing list of demands. After the dissolution of the Ottoman Caliphate by Mustafa Ataturk in 1922, Muslims everywhere have this heightened expectation of the re-emergence of a world wide Caliphate lead by their spiritual and military leader who will be called the Mahdi.
Just recently the president of Iran, , referred to the coming of the Mahdi in his speech to the UN on 23rd September 2008. Ahmadinejad has consistently called for the elimination of Israel, and why shouldn’t he? He is a good Muslim who believes in the “Last Hour”. You can read his speech to the UN here. [1]

Local Muslim community protest against Islamic terrorism held in undisclosed elevator Yep, it was standing room only at the recent Muslim anti-terror protest. "What do we want? Blame everyone but ourselves! When do we want it? I'm not sure as I used my mobile for a bomb timer, but I know it's all the Jews fault!"
"I’m beginning to think that everything causes terrorism: 1. Free Speech. 2. Kermit the Frog. 3. Britney Spears. 4. The price of arugula. 5. Those stupid looking Smart Cars. 6. Women wearing sweatpants with “juicy” written on their bums. 7. Debates about Creationism/evolution. 8. The Oscars.
Everything causes terrorism, except you know, terrorists and their stupid beliefs". mjk on Hotair July 30, 2008 . “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is stoned to death”. Joan D. Vinge.

The Herald Sun, usually less appeasing than al-Age, filled Sunday’s paper (21/9/08 p 14, p43, pp 90-91!!!) with drivel re. Sheik Fehmi el-Imam, Preston mosque and Australia’s mufti. Clearly reporter Laurie Nowell made no effort to research the Mufti or didn’t care about the points listed below. On Thursday (25/9/08) an absurd letter commended the sheik as a ‘shining light for reconciliation.’ The writer clearly had no idea that democracy as we understand it contravenes Islamic teaching; brotherhood with non-Muslims is forbidden and Islamic peace only comes when all others have been eliminated or subjugated!! Some points re Sheik Fehmi- repeated in the hope that slowly, people will know:
a) supports clitoridectomy-: Age newspaper, Saturday 21/7/2001, p7 Pamela Bone notes his response to her re clitoridectomy- Sheik- "You probably don't need it but women in hot countries do!" (Sadly Pam didn't realise clitoridectomy was endorsed by Mohammad and companions in hadiths and supported in Islamic law – but you don't need to be ignorant- read Female Genital Mutilation on this site or go to answering-islam.org).

Australia, which is accepting migrants in record numbers, has one of the best records in the world for welcoming people from other countries. My parents were refugees after World War II and while they encountered many problems, they were grateful to find peace after the horrors of the war. Many others fleeing conflict ridden situations have said the same kind of thing. Immigrants have had, in general a very positive influence on Australia – culturally, economically and socially. In a simple matter such as food, I can give an example close to home. Up in my local shopping centre, there are restaurants offering Thai, Chinese, Lebanese, Japanese, Italian, Vietnamese, French, Greek and Aussie food. From my observation, Australians are more likely to eat food from other countries, than any other place in the world I have visited. When I buy Chinese take-aways, there is often jovial conversation across the counter with the Chinese shop owner: in small ways, on a daily basis such friendly contacts are built across this country.

Ramadan Jihad and Scholars' Ignorance |

As violent Jihad against the coalition forces heated up following the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the U.S. and Iraqi officials had hoped there would be a respite as the holy month of Ramadan approached. The reality was quite the opposite; violence spiked. A similar expectation amongst officials in Iraq during the next Ramadan was despoiled in like manners by a spike in violence. Thereafter, we did not hear similar anticipation amongst U.S. officials in Iraq. They seem to have gone to school to find out what this Ramadan is all about. Now we continue to hear of similar expectations from Muslim leaders and scholars. Rightly so, given that the rather subdued success of Jihadis this Ramadan claimed 903 lives with 1638 people maimed or injured across 16 countries, according to a tracking by Religion of Peace website.

We read in the Quran:
17:1: “Glory to (Allah), who did take His Servant for a journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless, - in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the one Who heareth and seeth (all things.”
As this is an important verse, we should also read another translation to make sure that what we have quoted above is the correct translation of its Arabic text. N. J. Dawood’s translation of the verse reads: “Glory Be to Him who made His servant go by night from the Sacred Tempe to the farther Temple whose surroundings We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs. He alone hears and observes all.”[1]

IntroductionI was reluctant to write the story of my departure from Islam, because it lacks any of the moral elements of the kind mentioned in some of the touching testimonies published on the Internet. I cannot claim that I wasn’t aware of Mohammed’s assassinations of his adversaries, because I read about it and accepted it as a justifiable action against the enemies of Allah. Neither I can claim that I wasn’t aware of Mohammed’s pedophilic marriage to Aysha because I knew about it and accepted it as a perfectly normal practice during Mohammed’s time. Without raising an eyebrow, I also read about Mohammed’s genocide of the Jewish tribe of Bani Quryza. I had developed the concept that committing Islamic genocides against the Jews are no more disturbing to an Arab than slaughtering a herd of cattle.

Much nonsense was talked during the recent terror trial of the “Benbrika 12” (or maybe to give them due respect, the “Magnificent 12”). In this short article, I can only hope to list a few items. Readers might like to add their favourite “terror tosh” in the comments section. 1. Tracee Hutchison was indignant that “talking about committing an unspecified violent act actually constitutes a breach of Australian law.” Funny, I can’t remember her expressing similar outrage when the Two Dannies endured years of legal proceedings for simply talking (accurately) about what was in the Qur’an. “After 482 bugged conversations and thousands of hours of telephone taps and video surveillance, all the prosecution could present to the court was talk. Big talk. Chilling, some of it. But it was, in the end, just that - talk.

Landmark terrorist trials in Melbourne and London |

Friday, 26 September 2008 |
Former senior intelligence officer John Miller analyses what the results of the recent Melbourne and London terrorist trials may mean for the global war on terrorism.
Muslim cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika and five of his followers have been found guilty of belonging to a terrorist cell that was plotting bombing attacks on Melbourne that could have killed thousands.
A Victoria Supreme Court jury of nine women and three men deliberated for a record 21 days before bringing down their verdict on September 15, at the end of Australia’s largest terrorist trial, which lasted more than six months.
The court heard audio-recordings of Benbrika inquiring how to make ammonium nitrate bombs and bragging about his plans to blow up large buildings and kill Australians.

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Mohammad Asghar, an ex-Muslim who came out of Islam after discovering its true teachings. Together with studying the Qur’an for over twenty-five years, he has also been writing his commentary on its verses - an endeavor, he hopes, that will help non-Muslim leaders, as well as ordinary citizens, understand the true messages they convey to Muslims.
FP: Mohammad Asghar, welcome to Frontpage Interview.
Asghar: Thank you for inviting me to the Frontpage interview.
FP: Tell us about your background and your upbringing as a Muslim.
Asghar: I was born in a practicing Muslim family of Bangladesh. My parents adhered to almost all the tenets of Islam and they made sure that while growing up, I also learned all of them so that I could practice them in my own life. Like many other Muslim children of my neighborhood, I also attended a Madrassa and learned how to read the Qur’an without, of course, understanding what I was reading.

A Piece of this land and a piece of that….
Many people make passing reference to Neville Chamberlain’s speech to the British Parliament in 1938, which has become the iconic speech of a typical appeaser. What are some of the things that Chamberlain said? In fact the things he said, we hear frequently in our day from interfaith groups, rose coloured glasses committees and the apathetic, here in Australia, Europe and the US. Chamberlain says of his trip to Munich to sign off on Hitler’s land grab of Czechoslovakia’s Sudetenland. Before I come to describe the Agreement which was signed at Munich in the small hours of Friday morning last, I would like to remind the House of two things which I think it very essential not to forget when those terms are being considered. The first is this: We did not go there to decide whether the predominantly German areas in the Sudetenland should be passed over to the German Reich. That had been decided already… What we had to consider was the method, the conditions and the time of the transfer of the territory. The second point to remember is… We had populations inflamed to a high degree; we had extremists on both sides ready to work up and provoke incidents; we had considerable quantities of arms which were by no means confined to regularly organised forces. Therefore, it was essential that we should quickly reach a conclusion, so that this painful and difficult operation of transfer might be carried out at the earliest possible moment and concluded as soon as was consistent, with orderly procedure, in order that we might avoid the possibility of something that might have rendered all our attempts at peaceful solution useless . . .. Event Reported on September 14th 2008 in the UK newspapers such as the Sunday Times is that Islamic Law has been officially adopted in Britain. The Arch Mufti of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has been proved right!
Highlights from Sunday Times article:
- ISLAMIC law has been officially adopted in Britain, with
Sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases. The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence. - Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, whose Muslim Arbitration Tribunal runs the courts, said he had taken advantage of a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996.
- Jewish Beth Din courts operate under the same provision in the Arbitration Act and resolve civil cases, ranging from divorce to business disputes. They have existed in Britain for more than 100 years

Associate Professor Anthony Burke of the Australian Defence Force Academy has renewed his attack on Dr Mervyn Bendle of James Cook University, again threatening administrative and legal action, only a few days after announcing he was withdrawing his original demand that Dr Bendle be charged with serious academic misconduct for criticizing Dr Burke’s views of terrorism in an article published in the monthly journal Quadrant.
In an email to Dr Bendle sent yesterday (Sunday 21/9/2008) Dr Burke issued an ultimatum to Dr Bendle, demanding that Dr Bendle “issue a statement and have it press released nationally through James Cook University”. “I also wish you to publish it in Quadrant”, Dr Burke instructed.

How’s this for a policy idea? Shuffle the deckchairs and point fingers at the home crowd! Australia’s domestic scene is becoming foggier and denser, as more and more “victims” are unearthed. We seem to have an interminable list of “victims” these days. Where on earth do we get them from? Victim-hood, the new growth industry, paid for and supported by the Australian tax-payer. Except, today, the “victim” – which we’ve traditionally understood to be, well, you know…. some-one who has been …victimized, has become the target of our Blessed Leader’s strategizing. Victim = the casualty, the prey, the dupe, the injured party; the aggrieved party; the wronged party, the affected party. The solution? The Australian Labor Party! They have the answers. The problem with islam is not islam. The problem with islamists is not islam. The problem with islamic terror is not islam. It’s YOU. How else to explain the “creeping Sharia” of the ALP?

The Big PictureWe are at war with Militant Islam and those who support and appease its agenda. And I guess anyone who has knowledge of recent history, would agree with me, that we have been at war with this ideology since the late 1960’s when the Islamists began their terrorist campaign against the west, by hijacking airliners. The Islamists, emboldened by the compliance to their demands of western governments, particularly those in Europe, have, since their first forays into terror, now become an adept world wide movement which threatens ALL nations with extinction. But this is not a conventional war in the sense that we have a recognizable enemy that we may close with in combat. Our enemy refuses to fight openly knowing they cannot match the might of the Coalition forces so chooses instead to fight using guerilla tactics. Part of those tactics is to commit acts of unbelievable cruelty and barbarity against those who cannot defend themselves with the intention of fracturing our societies. Our enemy is ruthless, cunning and prepared to die for his cause. In this regard we should never underestimate his strength of purpose and resolve. Read more... Muslim Jerusalem Why do Muslims insist that Jerusalem is their Holy City? When Mohamed and his faithful followers moved from Mecca to Medina, they found themselves among three Jewish tribes/clans (BANU-L-NADIR, BANU KAINUKA and BANU KURAIZA) which settled there some time after their expulsion from their homeland and also living there were two Arab, pagan tribes. Mohammed, who at this stage needed more followers, decided to win those tribes over and convert them to his newly invented religion.
Islam was yet not as fully developed as we know it today, and Mohammed was still having his sessions with Allah (the Medina period revelations). Read more... Killing of Banu QuraizaDid Prophet Muhammad order Killing Surrendered Jews of Banu Quraiza and Khaybar? A historical Analysis! In the post 9/11 era of this modern-world, Islamists around the globe are busy with ‘damage control utopia’ in order to correct the image of religion Islam. We all know that the nucleus of Islam are: Quran, Hadiths (Sunnah) supported by Islamic histories and biographies recorded by various famous Islamic scholars and historians. Now, if we read Quran, hadiths and historical accounts (written by famous Muslim and non-Muslim historians) of Islam with our neutral mind-set, we can easily discover myriads of evidences which are the testament of the fact that unlike any other world’s organized religions, Islam was an Arab political and imperialistic ideology which was propagated by the sword. Read more... Islam will Lose ...so will the West Islam is currently passing through one of its most dynamic times since its rise fourteen hundreds years ago. This dynamic period started long before 9/11 as a fierce struggle, mainly against the west, but also against any nation or group that dares to stand in its way. Most Muslims take this resurgence phase very seriously and consider it as a decisive battle between Islam and the non-Islam, or the kufr, which Mohammed told them they would win. Even though the west, currently, is largely in denial about this makes no difference to the significance of this conflict to the whole world. Read more... What Mecca? It’s hard to believe it could happen in Australia, but then who would have thought that the Paris of the Middle East could descend into such chaos.
