Whodunnit!?
In Pakistan, Iran and everywhere Muslims have been very busy blowing up their Muslim brothers and sisters - I would say faster than a speeding bullet but perhaps here we should say ‘faster than a head cutting sword’ . In the words of the song ‘Old Macdonald had a Farm’ we can sing ‘Here a bomb, there a bomb, everywhere a bomb, bomb’ . Last week we were hearing of the bombings in the crowded Sufi mosque in Lahore, Pakistan’s second largest city. .
Thousands of people were present at the shrine dedicated to Hazrat Syed Ali bin Usman Hajweri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, at the time of the attacks on Thursday night. Earlier, police and city administration officials had said there were three suicide attacks at the busy shrine, known as Data Darbar, in the crowded centre of the city which is home to around 10 million people. (source)
They Sufis have long been characterised by their particular attachment to dhikr (a practice of repeating the names of God) and asceticism. Sufism arose among a number of Muslims as a reaction against the worldliness of the early Umayyad Caliphate (661-750 CE[6]) some see it as an eclectic mix of Buddhism, Christianity and Islam – and try to put a more peaceful gloss on them. But Sufis have had their own violent tendencies in the past even if now they are not as violent as they used to be. Genghis Khan was a Sufi and many Turks are Sufis. However, most identify Sufism with mysticism and whirling dervishes, who go into a trance like state in their whirling prayer. In the end spinning round and round might be the way to go, better than letting off bombs.
So who decided to have a go at these Sufis? Well your guess is a good as mine but I suspect it was some peace loving Muslims who did not like the more peaceful ways of the Sufis. And just as the world is recovering the news of this brotherly love incident, more bombs take the lives of unsuspecting Muslims from this world.
And recently there have also been some bombings in Iran.
THE death toll from twin suicide bombings at a Shiite mosque in heavily Sunni southeast Iran has risen to 26, a local lawmaker told ILNA news agency on Friday. Hossein Ali Shahriari, parliamentarian from the city of Zahedan where the twin attacks occurred on Thursday, put the number of wounded at more than 300."This explosion has left 26 people killed and more than 300 wounded. The toll may increase further," Shahriari was quoted as saying by ILNA. On Thursday, two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the Jamia mosque in the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan, as worshippers were celebrating the birthday of Imam Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Mohammed. (source)
Even UN leader Ban Ki-Moon expressed revulsion at these bombings in the mosques and the many innocent dead as a result. And then after a period of no-one admitting responsible for this typical Muslim style attack [it was hard to link the CIA or the Jews to this one by any stretch of the imagination] someone did come forward. Jundallah said they did it.
The Sunni rebel group Jundallah (Soldiers of God) claimed responsibility for the bombings, saying it was to avenge the hanging of its veteran leader Abdolmalek Rigi. (source)
These Jundallahs - literally meaning Soldiers of Allah), are also known as People's Resistance Movement of Iran (PRMI) and don’t seem too contemplative. They obviously have many gripes and have learned a lot of bombing lessons from their Taliban mates. But these Jundallas, as proud as they are of their achievements, must obviously be wrong because the Americans were lurking somewhere in hidden crevices of the mosque just wanting to do their stuff. I mean the Jundallas are telling the truth but what is the truth in the face of powerful myths, irrational concoctions and a chance for rip-roaring denunciation of America? You guessed it – the Americans did it.
As Melanie Phillips states in her recent excellent book ‘The World Turned Upside Down’ [2010] ‘Conversation with many Muslims in the West today has no correspondence with reality or rationality. The dialogue proceeds on two separate planes with no intersection between them because the Islamic mindset is governed by a closed thought system that cannot acknowledge anything beyond its own inverted structure. ‘ [p. 151] . The writer then goes on to detail the irrational mindset and describes its irrational patterns in incisive clarity. This book is an Orwellian comment on the irrationality which is encapsulated in the above events and the relentless violence.
Will the Pakistani and Iranian Muslim communities in Australia publicly denounce the MUSLIMS who perpetrated this violence. That will be an indication that these communities, although they claim to be Muslims, have really begun to leave Islam, for they have begun to recognise the truth of the matter.
The challenge is there – myth or truth?

Wendy,
You say "In the end spinning round and round might be the way to go, better than letting off bombs."
I'm not sure if Sufis' propensity to whirl and twirl prevents them from being jihadis, though obviously they'd have to take a bit of time off from whirling.

Ramon Lull (ca. 1232--1315), a Christian missionary argued with the Muslims and pointed out that Muhammad broke all Ten Commandments. For this, Lull was imprisoned twice, flogged, and ultimately stoned to death in June of 1315. Comment: It was dangerous at that time to tell the truth about Muhammad, and it is still dangerous. The Dhimmis are more cautious. They pander to the Muslims. The Dhimmis don't understand or don't care that there is a greater penalty to pay down the road by pandering to Islam.
Martin Luther (1483--1546) had this to say: "Muhammad martyred many innocent children and Christians by cruelly executing them."
George Sale, a 19th century British biograper of Muhammad writes that "the greatest advocates of the mission of Mohammad have never been able to deny that he was extremely wicked...."
Edward Augustus Freeman, also a 19th century scholar of Islam argued that Muhammad "was clearly blameworthy in not fully enforming himself on such immportant questions [e.g., who Christ really was]. Consequently, his system became one of mere retrogression and bitter antagonism to the truth."
This account from an Abul Kasem interview 17/07/2008.
“Proceeding further from Tabuk on his way to Medina, Muhammad halted at Dhu Awan at Quba (about 4 kms. from Medina), an hour’s journey from Medina. There, an opposition Muslim group had built a mosque. Previously, while Muhammad was making preparations for the march to Tabuk, this group of Muslims approached him and said, “O Messenger of God, we have built a mosque for the sick and needy and for rainy and cold nights, and we would like you to visit us and pray for us”(The History of al Tabari, vol.ix, p.61). Busy with his preparations for Tabuk expedition, Muhammad excused himself from visiting this newly-built mosque, but assured the dissident group that he would call on their mosque while returning to Medina (from Tabuk).
On his return journey from Tabuk and halting at Dhu Awan, Muhammad accused builders of this mosque of being unjust. Without any warning, he sent a band of jihadists to burn and destroy the freshly constructed mosque. He said to his band of hooligans, “Go to this mosque whose owners are unjust people and destroy and burn it” (ibid, p.61). His band of raging arsonists stealthily entered the bustling mosque and set fire to it when it was filled with people assembled for the evening prayer. The worshippers dispersed in utter terror. Allah promptly sent down verse 9:107, 110, justifying the destruction of opposition mosques. To further validate his gutting of this mosque, Muhammad concocted the story that he suspected that the builders of the ‘Mosque of Dissent’ were planning to assassinate him”.
Notice the terror involved here? Makes you think of Bukhari 4.52.220 and Sura 8:12.
And this.....
Seventy-two of the seventy-three Muslim sects will go to hell; only one of the sects will be in Paradise; it is the majority group…[Sunaan Abu Dawud, 3.40.4580]
It is all very SIMPLE really. Muslims everywhere are just following pure Islam.

Well, Sufism can and does exist on both sides of the fence (sunni and shia), and it is not peaceful at all (as peaceful as the rest of Islam).
In fact in the cases quoted in Wendy's article it was simply Sunnis having a go at Shias - nothing new really.

aka known as the religion of peace
I wonder how long before muzzie start spreading the peace in Australia what level of hatred is needed in a mosque before it starts.
Their plan is the same; it's just the means of implementation that is a little different.
"A TERRORIST strike on the 2005 AFL Grand Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground was averted just two months before the game, after police raids on members of an alleged homegrown Muslim terror cell disrupted preparations for the attack. "

when psychologists present findings - http://www.newenglishreview.or...c_id/63122 - which state unequivocally that islam is incompatible with the status quo and demonstrate the inherent anti-social, criminal core which is the heart of islam;
when muslims themselves question every other sect besides their own and are moved to murder;
when islamists exhort their fellow muslims to repudiate the very laws of their host countries - http://www.hizb-australia.org/
-there is not much wriggle room left.
How astonishing, then, that our ‘elite’ continue to foist the intolerable onto us!
We are in ‘election mode’, and I am certain that no relief is in sight. The false dawn of ‘dealing with the boat people’, the ‘legitimizing’ of complaint by Gillard, (who pontificates that opposition to rampant migration rorting is NOT the domain of the redneck), the ever-echoing ‘promises’ to actually do something…… all a mirage. I think all thinking people know this already.
We will have a new government but nothing will change on the issue that counts – the defence of our society.
May I say, despite the urgency and obvious need for a sovereign nation to have firm border controls, the issue is NOT ‘boat people’. That’s the back door, and any sane person would believe that the back door needs to be securely bolted. Why are we even discussing this? What is a more self evident obligation than a government acting to protect the nations sovereignty?
Our problem is the front door. The open queues, the open slather, the obsequious deference to the openly hostile, the silencing of criticism, the pandering.
Not one party or hack is willing to declare islam an enemy. We still have to sit in mute, neutered obeisance as the old lies of ‘peaceful islam’ get trotted out and bandied about in select enclaves and think tanks and fed to the media to disemminate - witness the almost mind-boggling arrogance of our academic elite, in their perverse attempt to foist islam onto our students, through LFOA and the fact that, despite a rising clamor from all quarters of the Australian electorate, we will have another 28,000 muslims grace our nation next year!
Nodding sagely to themselves, and no others, the Mandarins emerge from their cocoons and force US yet again, to endure the unendurable.
We need wholesale changes at the very core of our political machinery. These apparatchiks no longer talk for us or represent us. They certainly do not promote the wishes of the majority.
I said, a few months ago, that Abbott would roll Rudd PURELY BECAUSE he was not Rudd. Gillard et al also arrived at that conclusion. Point is – is Abbott a cure or a continuation of the same old crapola? Is it enough, that he is not ‘them’? Hardly. Abbott appears to be in favor of continued muslim immigration. Nothing appears likely to change any time soon.

Also, there is the Australian Protectionist Party. They are about family values too and are concerned about islamification of Australia. www.protectionist.net
I have only just begun researching who I will vote for in the upcoming election so I have not got details about how many candidates they have etc.
Has anybody else got suggestions/information?
Of course Sen. Bernardi is at least trying to have a go: "It is time we learned from the experience of the French, the Belgians, the Dutch, the Swiss and the British," Senator Bernardi said. "We need to stop the expansion of fundamentalist Islam in Australia lest we lose the foundation, the essence, the very culture of our great nation."
Just take out the word fundamentalist and its reassuring that at least some politicians have got it. Though I'm sure the necessary massage just had to be given to that statement. I think the tide has definetly turned - 'softly, softly' though and ultimately I believe in the intelligence and reason of the Australian public and they will start to vote with their feet. Dee has some alternatives and there will be more. Even if we all just vote informally in protest.
PS: How 'bout those "hooligans" in Grenoble. French are going to crack down hard they say on "hooliganism"... - oh dear.
Lib senator calls for burqa ban
July 18, 2010 - 12:04PM
Liberal senator Cory Bernardi has called for Australia to follow the lead of France and ban the burqa, describing it as "the most public symbol of fundamentalist Islam".
In a regular internet blog, the South Australian senator said there were supporters of fundamentalist Islam who wanted to impose sharia, or Islamic law, in Australia.
"This is a system where women are considered as second class citizens and homosexuals can be hanged," Senator Bernardi said.
Stay away from the Australian Protectionist Party.. Whilst they are anti Islam, their policies leave much to be desired. I was following them and was going to join their party , but before doing so I read their policies and was not impressed.
For one they are homophobic, so one wonders what agenda they haven’t revealed.
The Greens are..well to say the least “loony leftists” a vote for them is a for for Labour

They are so dumb they believe any lie and carry out every atrocity in the belief that it's the will of a trully sick god.
Melanie Phillips is so correct --Muslims have NO connection with rationality or reality or they wouldn't be Muslim. Their mindset is so totally different but people will not believe this and keep trying to make Islam acceptable --it's NOT and we need to learn this before we are destroyed.
