Group Hug anyone!
There’s nothing better than gathering round in a circle singing Kumbaya. If you happen to have a packet of marshmallows to toast, so much the better! But there are certain groups that I would never include in the circle, for example The League of Rights and the Islamists. However, it seems that Bnai Brith, the Jewish anti-defamation Commission, has no such compunction, as they have happily linked up with Islamists on many occasions. They even supported the notorious Racial and Religious Tolerance Act (see our Submission) which stifles free speech and gives a green light to the Islamisation of Australia.
Dr Helen Gardner is one of their number. She is organising this year’s Jewish-Christian-Muslim Association of Australia (JCMA) Residential conference. Her doctorate obviously didn’t include doing research, as even a cursory glance at her Islamic “Partner in Dialogue”, Islamic Council of Victoria , would have given cause for concern. Looking at the links on their website it becomes apparent they are close to the notorious CAIR (“CAIR: 'Moderate' friends of terror”, which raises funds for Hamas, and the student Islamic body FAMSY , which regularly invites members of the Muslim Brotherhood to their conferences. Helen, are any alarm bells ringing now? If not maybe you would like to reflect how, in last year’s Lebanese Israeli war, ICV came out strongly in defence of Hezbollah and how many of their media releases condemn “Israeli aggression”. Still, don’t let these matters get in the way of the prestige that comes from being a leader in intefaith.
“Some Jewish people…are less inclined to view inter-faith work positively and perhaps more inclined to be a bit suspicious of Muslims.”
Could this suspicion have anything to do with Islam?
- Killing Jews in theory– a few extracts from the hadiths
Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 176:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, "You (i.e. Muslims) will fight with the Jews till some of them will hide behind stones. The stones will (betray them) saying, 'O 'Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.' "
Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 177:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."
- Killing Jews in practice.
Since February 1992, Hassan Nasrallah has headed Lebanon's Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist group, reportedly receiving $100-200 million of funding from Iran and other supporters in the Arab world. Nasrallah is virulently opposed to recognizing the legitimacy of Israel, terming the country a "cancerous entity" of "ultimate evil" whose "annihilation ... is a definite matter." He has used Hezbollah’s resources to foment violence in the region by inciting, supporting, and funding terrorist attacks on Israel, both by Hezbollah and Hamas.
The widening arena of Hezbollah's attacks stemmed from Nasrallah's perception that Jews anywhere are legitimate targets. In fact, Nasarallah has said:
If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide. (Daily Star, Oct. 23, 2002)Shiite scholar Amal Saad-Ghorayeb analyzed the anti-Jewish roots of Hezbollah ideology in her book Hezbollah: Politics & Religion. In it, she quotes Hassan Nasrallah describing his antipathy toward Jews:
If we searched the entire world for a person more cowardly, despicable, weak and feeble in psyche, mind, ideology and religion, we would not find anyone like the Jew. Notice, I do not say the Israeli. (New Yorker, Oct. 14, 2002)Nasrallah also incorporates anti-Semitic rhetoric in speeches. For example, he has characterized Jews as
the "grandsons of apes and pigs" and "Allah's most cowardly and greedy creatures." (MEMRI: Al- Manar, Feb. 3, 2006) (source)
So Helen, maybe its not courage they lack, but the lemming-like tendancy to spend a weekend with Islamofascists. Maybe what they possess instead is the moral clarity to recognise Fascism when they see it.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Healing of Memories: History and Reconciliation ”.
I myself have just had a memory, prompted by the news ICV is promoting a 'FAMSY' conference at Melbourne University in July.
Proposed guest speaker, "Imam Mahdi Bray" an African American convert to Islam, is alleged to have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and called the continued detention of Ahmed Abu-Ali, (an American citizen who was convicted of providing material support to the al Qaeda terrorist network), in a Saudi Arabian jail a "national disgrace and tragedy ."
On December 22, 2000, Mahdi Bray organized a rally in Lafayette Park outside the White House to celebrate a "Worldwide Day for Jerusalem." In Arabic, the crowd responsively chanted, "Khaybar, Khaybar oh Jews, the Army of Muhammad is coming for you !"
Another memory, of Islam’s support for Hitler, comes readily to mind – still let’s not mention the War!
The flyer tells how “we encounter one another as people of faith belonging to one of the three montheistic Abrahamic religions”.
I guess calling them all “Abrahamic” masks the fact that we don’t share the same ethic. Jews and Christians embrace the Golden Rule, where all humanity are treated equally, while the Islamic version applies only to their Muslim brothers. ”No Muslim should wish for himself anything he does not wish his brother” refers only to their Muslim brothers. Islam thus has a dualistic ethic, treating Muslims in one way and non-Muslims as subjugated persecuted others. (Memo to Helen: find out about the laws of dhimmitude!) Thus is is perfectly permissible to lie to and deceive non-believers if it serves the interests of Islam.
While other belief systems distinguish right from wrong using the Golden Rule as their yardstick, Muslims base this distinction on what is haram and halal (forbidden and permitted). So, while we believe that lying, stealing and raping are bad because we don’t like be lied to, stolen from or raped, Muslims, while they do not like to be abused and maltreated, see nothing wrong in lying to non-Muslims, pillaging their wealth, raping their women and even killing them. This is consistent with Muhammad's own teachings and conduct. He strongly prohibited Muslims stealing from each other and warned those who stole from the booty that the Islamic army had plundered from the infidels, of severe divine chastisement. Non-Muslims in Islamic countries do not have the same rights because their religion is not accepted by God.
Hence Hilali’s expression of sympathy with the Sydney gang rapist was entirely consistent with Islamic ethics.
Oh, and you will be pleased to know all food will be strictly Halal. No prizes for guessing whose agenda is being served by this Victorian Dhimmis weekend.

Another group in this “partnership” are the progressive Jews, especially Rabbi Jonathan Keren Black, who was in on the ground of interfaith, gaining large amounts of government largesse in the process. He and his “partners” (yes, the very same fingers-in-many-pies ICV!) go into schools spreading the message of universal brotherhood, ignoring the possibility that he is joining in with those supporting another sort of brotherhood altogether. The good Rabbi is terribly concerned with the environment and using non-sexist language in the prayer book (at the moment he is planning to produce a revised prayer book with gender-inclusive language). Look, I’m all in favour of this, and suggest he stick to hugging trees and thinking of how to substitute words like “Lord”, “King” and “he” with appropriate gender inclusive words. Perhaps if he were to wander over to the Womyns Room at RMIT, they could give him some ideas.
Now if I were Jewish, I’d be asking myself why my leaders were so keen to lead us into the abyss.

Australians celebrate and revere Anzac Day on April 25th each year in remembrance of our brave soldiers who fought in two great world wars to secure our freedom. Every Australian identifies with the slogan “lest we forget” and in services held around the country people reflect on the battles and men who died to secure our freedom. Yet across the world in France, there is one remarkable battle which helped form the Europe we know today and allowed the development of civilization based on Judeo Christian principles. This one famous battle has become known as the battle of Tours and effectively stopped the Muslim advance into Europe. After the death of Mohammed in 632AD, Muslim armies exploded out of the Arabian peninsula to conquer much of the Middle East, expanding across north Africa. From there they crossed into Spain in 711AD and eventually controlled much of al-Andalus by 715AD. It was the victory at Tours by Charles Martel that stemmed the tide and eventually the Muslim marauders were expelled from Spain in 1492 when the last outpost at Granada fell to King Ferdinand of Spain.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born, lived, fought and won battles against religious and social oppression in the 17th century Bharat or India. He was a shining star in the Indian firmament and is renowned as a champion of the downtrodden and depressed masses. He was and continues to be an icon for the classes and masses alike and is seen as a rallying point for peasants oppressed by foreign rulers, Pathans and Moghuls alike. Sexually exploited women found in Shivaji Raje a protector, a benefactor and flocked to his Hindavi Swaraj to find solace and feel liberated under his saffron flag.
Perhaps some readers might be interested to know that January 28 is considered a feast day among Catholics – actually 2 feast days are celebrated on the same day – one is of ST Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian and philosopher who adapted Aristotle to the western Judeo-Christian worldview. . It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.

How often in conversation with a Muslim, do they quote Spain as the crowning achievement of Islam, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in harmony for about 800 years?
Why do Muslims insist that Jerusalem is their Holy City?
There is a very strongly entrenched view among majority of Westerners today that the three main monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam share one common God and therefore despite the obvious differences, the core foundation of these three religions is the same.
